Hello!
MY NAME IS SUMMER.
Living in Raleigh, NC, I am a passionate and hardworking creative communication designer with 8+ years of experience in marketing in multiple channels: digital marketing, SEO, inbound marketing, guerrilla marketing, social media marketing, and others. My professional passion is to visually communicate a message for the user (whether that be a customer or internal employees) a design that is easy to understand, fully informative, and all with a pleasing aesthetic. My favorite color is Pantone 315.
Creative skills include:
- Designing custom graphics and images sharable through social, email, or other digital marketing campaigns.
- Front-end design for dynamic websites — including brand colors, creative elements, information architecture, user experience, and component design.
- Multiple mediums of fine art — those being acrylic and oil painting, pastels, watercolor, and graphite.
My designs have been featured on multiple websites — from personal injury trial lawyers and national energy companies, to the largest after-school music program in the United States. In addition to my marketing designs, I have been published twice in peer-reviewed doctorate research articles from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, whom I was commissioned to design their schematics.
When I'm not designing or painting, I love to volunteer. Volunteering means the world to me, and I love giving back in multiple ways. Those ways could mean running my local church's Instagram, flying out to Australian to rehabilitated bats for a week, or building houses with Habitat for Humanity. No matter what I'm doing, personally or professionally, my heart will always be set on the betterment of people and this planet.
